Competitors at the troutmasters competition
The Troutmasters final was held on the 20th of April with one point separating the winner and the runner up. John Blake came out on top of a closely contested competition.

There was not much improvement in the weather until late in the month, when spring arrived at last, some nice catches were experienced with Will Menzies from Dunnet and John Blake from Thurso both catching seven fish in a two hour session, K Imlach Thurso and C Farquhar Wick both landed £100 tag fish.
