October has been a very pleasant month leaving some nice catches on the dry fly. One of the highlights of the month was Ray Sinclair, Wick, catching the tag fish and netting himself £100.

There has been no improvement in the weather this month and the dismal summer continues.
The unpredictable weather has been making fishing difficult with much chopping and changing of flies, late in the month daddies being the most productive.
George Gunn and Sandy Taylor of Wick both caught tag fish this month each winning £100.
D McLean of East Kilbride caught 5 fish in a two hour session.

We have had glorious weather for April and this has brought a good turnout of anglers to the Fishery.The month started with the troutmasters which was won by Alan Porteous who now goes on to represent us in the final.We also had two hundred pound tag winners M Mackay Forss and G Gawthorpe Fife, best catches this month A Christie Elgin who had twelve fish in a four hour session and L Cameron Thurso who had ten in a two hour session.

This month has seen mixed weather starting off very windy, followed by sleet and heavy rain and has ended very spring like.
This has reflected on the fishing which was difficult early on but the month finished with dry flies doing well.

Best Catches for March

Mild but wet, with some nice catches early in the month. However proving to be more difficult fishing towards the end. D Adams, Orkney, caught seven fish and J Sinclair, Wick, caught six in a two hour session.

The frost arrived, completely freezing us over for part of the month. When conditions improved fishing continued to be slow. E Bremner caught six fish and A Porteous five in a two hour session
