The fishery, the most northerly stillwater in Scotland, is situated approximately 10 miles south of Thurso. It has been developed over several years from an existing marsh and is constantly fed by a small Burn, this along with the depth of the pools provides an excellent habitat for the stock.
The park is approximately 4.5 acres in size and divided into two pools, with some small islands linked together by bridges (no excuse for the wind being in the wrong direction). It is regularly stocked with a variety of Rainbow, Brook & Brown Trout. The Rainbows are stocked up to 14 Ib and browns up to 3 Ib. The site is easily accessible, being only a short stroll from a car parking area, it is open all year round and is provided with facilities for shelter, making a brew or having a barbecue.

There are two different pools, the North Pool and the South Pool. The South Pool is strictly no catch and release and all fish landed must be kept irrespective of size. Once the fish allocation is bagged the angler moves to the North Pool and continues to fish on a catch and return basis. |
